Description

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) 10mg is a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. It is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and pediatric patients (10 years and older) with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight with at least one weight-related condition. The 10mg dose is reached by escalation through lower doses. Clinical trials have shown average weight loss of 7.5 to 10.7 kg at the 10mg dose. Administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection.
